In the Dashboard: create a pairing code
Go to Settings → POS devices and press "Pair a new device". If you have several branches, pick the one for this device. Press "Create pairing code"; Hensa asks for one extra check to make sure it is you.
You get an 8-character code with a countdown. It works once, for one device, and expires after 10 minutes. If it runs out, press "Create a new code".
On the counter device: type the code
Open the Hensa POS app. The first screen is "Pair this register". Type the 8 characters – upper or lower case both work. Give the device a name everyone recognises, like "Counter 1" or "Drinks bar". Press "Pair".
If it says "Wrong or expired code", create a new code in the Dashboard rather than retyping the old one.
After pairing
The device goes straight to "Who’s selling?" so a cashier can pick their name and enter a PIN. In the Dashboard the device appears under "Devices" as "Active", and the owner gets an email saying a new POS device was paired.
Each device gets its own receipt prefix from Hensa: the first is Q1, the next Q2. Receipt numbers look like Q1-0001, so you can tell which counter sold an order. A device that is removed and paired again gets a new prefix.
Good to know
Only the owner or a manager can create pairing codes. Treat the code like a key to the shop and don’t post it in a group chat. If it went somewhere it shouldn’t, open "Devices" and look for anything you don’t recognise; if there is, press "Revoke" on that row.
